Easter lily danger_kitty loveIt’s time for Easter which is a special holiday celebrated by many beyond the egg hunts and baskets, you might have an Easter lily in your home because they are beautiful and give off an incredible aroma. However, I have found that people are not aware of the unfortunate danger that they pose to your indoor cats.

As a pet sitter, I have been into homes with the lilies out for enjoyment of unsuspecting clients and as a precaution I have to the initiative and safely stored them in a safe place out of reach from the cats.

There is a possibility the cats would not be interested in playing with or chewing on the plant. However, I do not leave anything to chance.

I know how curious cats are and would rather err on the 100% side of caution when it comes to their health and safety. I leave behind an informative flyer to educate the client on the possible dangers of the Easter lily, amongst other lilies.

I encourage you to be informed by researching and asking your veterinarian. Or you can read more here.

Hoping you and your cat have a safe Easter weekend!

Love and Purrs,

Amy
